I began hearing rumors of a new political party several months ago but with the election and other issues that gained more press it was put on the back burner for me. Could it be true that registration will be accepted for the Pirate Party? Could we all be looking at a headline like ahoy matey pirates to rule in the us or is this still just a rumor? From what I understand Ares have taken the steps to register this party in Utah and the goal is not to win votes but to have a voice. What could this mean to further elections. Will it just takes votes away from qualified candidates or will it really give the people a new voice?

File Sharing: Evil Epidemic or Useful Tool?

For the last several years file sharing software has been used to allow those that choose to download and share various file types with other users all over the globe. A few years ago this became an issue that I believe was started by the powers that be in music and software companies. While recording companies try to stop this “evil epidemic”, people are still using P2P application to get the music and other files they want from each other. The fact remains that limewire installed on one third of worlds pcs seems to be a major problem to the recording companies. To the users this software is a useful tool and it seems as though there is not much the recording companies can do about that fact.
